    [Error Code] imagepress C6000 e020-0186

    I am trying to get around a e020-0186 error. Is there a way to disable ATR? I am thinking disabling pascal would do it, but not sure. Print quality is perfect just need to get machine running, can remedy problem later.

      =============/
      If u disable ATR u can have alignment issues

      try this instead---
      in Service Mode Level 2 > COPIER > ADJUST> DENS > P-TG-Y = Adjust to "0"

      The position of patch images is different between Y/M color and C/Bk color, the position of the Drum Patch Sensors is different.
      In addition, patch images of Y/C color and M/Bk color are formed alternately between sheets.
      Since the position and timing to form patch images of 4 colors are different, the patch images of 4 colors are not overlapped on the ITB.
      ================================================== =======================
      Image density is too low

      As possible causes of low image density, soiled primary charging assembly, faulty laser, soiled dust-proof glass, faulty drum, faulty developing, and etc. are conceivable. However, faulty developing is the most likely. For this reason, check the area around the developing assembly first.

      1) Check the area around the developing assembly.
      - Are there occurrences of Tiger stripe?
      - Are there occurrences of developer overflow?
      If these symptoms have occurred, replace the developer after taking actions actions such as cleaning.
      2) If there is no abnormality found at the step 1, output PG5 of the corresponding color with density settings '80' and '255. Check the density and unevenness.

      U have a YELLOW ISSUE---Guess u know that already
      -
      Possible Soil on the ATR sensor

      did u clean it ???

      -Faulty pressure for Y developing assembly
      -Broken wire of ATR sensor
      -Damaged ATR sensor
      -Malfunction of ATR patch detection shutter

      e020-0186
      x= 1:Y 2:M 3:C 4:Bk

      0x86 = Fault at sampling 2 in patch image
      DISPLAY>DENS>DENS-S-Y/M/C/K(Measured value of patch image) -
      DISPLAY>DENS>P-B-PY/ M/C/K(measured value of drum base) </= 30

      1. PG05-96 (D)
      Single color/4C
      Check uniformity of the image
      -> Check the developing motor
      2. Check the DISPLAY>DPOT>P-LPW-Y/M/C/K (patch laser power value)

        I have run thru most of that, I am going to start fresh and go thru it again. I am curious though how would you disable ATR. I know it will effect quality.

          ------------

          thinking about it/ don't believe u can turn ATR off in this model

            Check patch laser power value. Not clear what I am looking for there.

              P-LPW-Y
              Y
              -color laser power of patch contrast target potential
              Lev.2
              Details To display the Y color laser power required for patch contrast target potential in the potential control.

              If the value is out of the appropriate range at the density failure, the toner supply control may be a factor.
              If it is within the range, investigate the other factors.
              Use case - At the occurrence of an image density failure
              - When analyzing the cause of a problem
              Display/adj/set range 00 to FF (hexadecimal)
              Appropriate target value 60 to FF

                After getting the e020-0186 error I noticed these values.

                COPIER>DISPLAY>DENS>P-B-P-Y = -56
                COPIER>DISPLAY>DENS>P-B-P-M = -56
                COPIER>DISPLAY>DENS>P-B-P-C = -56
                COPIER>DISPLAY>DENS>P-B-P-K = -56

                Seems strange that all colors would be -56. Any ideas?

                  All values are equal and way too low...maybe the mashine codes out on yellow, because yellow is the first color measured and there is now time to throw other errors. So it leads you to a false direction.

                    I have switch sensors, drums, coruna, grid, same error no matter what.

                      _____;-
                      Did u check DEVELOPER & TONER SUPPLY FOR YELLOW
                      Did u check a PG 10 DEVELOPMENT on ITB SHEET BEFORE SEPARATION OF IMAGE
