Are you sure that you have those options installed, check the device configuration in the counter check. You may also want to check if the send is disabled in service mode.

Check / Re-seat the power connector for the reader unit.

Check / Re-seat the interface connections.

SEND TAB---optional Universal Send Kit is activated and the optional Super G3 FAX Board is installed.

      Send Function
=To use the Send function, the Universal Send Kit must be activated.

      Fax Function=need > Super G3 FAX Board

You can check for the LMS-based Printer Kit on the Canon device the same way as you would check for any other installed LMS-based option or kit.

            Perform the following steps:

            1. Press the [Counter Check] button on the copier control panel.

            2. Hit the [Device Configuration] button on the LCD screen.

            3. Scroll down through all of the available pages on this Device Configuration screen. Look for either PS, PCL or UFRII. The methods listed here (ex. PS, PCL, or UFRII) are installed and are available for printing.

For example, if you find UFRII and PCL, but do not find PS on this screen on an iR C5180, it means that the UFRII/PCL Printer Kit is installed, but the PS Printer Kit is not installed. The exact Canon Printer Kits available vary by device model. See your specific device's documentation for more information.

            * Note - You will need to install the appropriate printer drivers on the workstation in order to print.

Check that the UI-SEND & UI-Fax options are enabled in Service Mode, Level 2

set both to "1" then power off>on Printer

            Additional Functions > #2 & 8 keys together > Additional Functions > Additional Functions again > #2 key > go to>
Copier > Option > Body > and set the options UI-SEND & UI-Fax to '1'. Press OK, then reboot the machine

Re: Missing send and fax tab on canon ir6570

The easiest way to check that the options are installed is to do what both Tykesupport and Teckat stated, hit the counter check and than select device configuration, they should be listed in there if installed properly.
If you really need to see it in service mode, for the u-send license go to service mode level 2 copier>option>LCNS-TR st send will display a 1 if it is installed, don't make any changes in these screens or you might end up disabling your license if it is indeed installed.

For the fax go to service mode level 1 copier>Display>Version if the fax board is installed correctly you will see a version number next to fax, if it is blank the fax board or wiring has a problem and or is missing.

                    ======================

Did u have a U SEND Trial Kit activated ???

Universal Send Trial Kits are promotional items and are not shipped with every device. Universal Send Trial Kits are limited in scope and may be discontinued at any time.

                    The imageRUNNER 5570 / 6570 / 7105 / 7095 / 7086 / models may be shipped with a trial version of Universal Send.
The License Access Number (LAN) for the Universal Send Trial will ship with these units and is not available as an individual item (you cannot order a Universal Send Trial Kit).
The Universal Send Trial Kit will need to be activated in LMS (License Management System) to obtain a license key to enter on the machine.
Once the license key is registered on the machine, the Send feature will appear on the LCD screen. The Universal Send Trial Kit can only be installed one time. It cannot be re-installed or transferred to another machine.

The Universal Send Trial Kit will allow 100 Send transactions and is not restricted by a time period. It includes the Encrypted PDF function and the PDF (OCR) function.
Once 100 Send transactions have been performed on the machine, the Send features will become inactive. They can be reactivated by purchasing the following optional items:

                    imageRUNNER 5570 / 6570:
                    - Universal Send Kit-D1 (item # 0382B002AA).

what appears under the Counter Check

did u check in service mode level 2 to see if Universal Send was activated

                    COPIER > OPTION > LCNS-TR

                    EX: ST-XXXX 1 ( ) {0 to 0}
                    [1] [2]

[1]: for state indication, 0: not installed (default); 1: installed
[2]: for invalidation execution, 0: execute (input accepted only if '0')

                    Procedure (invalidation of transfer)
                    1) Select SET-XXXX, and type in '0'; then, press the OK key.
                    2) See that a transfer license number (24 characters) is indicated for TR-XXXX.
