Is it possible to connect USB Mouse to use the touch panel on IR7105?

    Hi Everyone,
I have problem using the touch panel. It is not responsive. I already ordered for the panel and waiting for it and the tech.
I have the same problem with my KMC6500. I was able to use a mouse in the USB port and use the panel. It was my second mouse that worked.

I tried the trick on my 7105, it powers the mouse but no pointer. Is there anyway to use mouse, using the USB port to use the panel?

Go in service mode LEVEL 2

    (*)key (#2,8 keys together) (*)key
    then (*)key>then (#2)key=========for level 2

    COPIER > DISPLAY > ACC-STS
    > USBH-SPD = Use it to indicate the connection of the USB device.

Well, it is interesting. I went to the service mode. But after that how can I select copier as my panel is not responding to touches. I don't see any arrow keys.

This is the real catch 22 situation.

          Thanks

            ==========
The imageRUNNER-iR Series models support USB 2.0 High Speed printing via one USB 2.0 port located on the machine's main controller board. This USB port will look like this:

Do not attempt to print using a USB Port on the machine that looks like this below:

Some imageRUNNER-iR Series models have optional expansion boards available that provide additional USB ports. These USB ports look like this:

In order to connect an External USB Device (mouse, keyboard, etc) to these USB ports, make sure to enable the 'Use USB Host' setting on the machine.
When this is set to 'Off', the connection is disabled preventing the use of an External USB Device. See your specific imageRUNNER model's documentation for specifications on what External USB Devices are supported.

These USB ports CANNOT be used for printing.
Use the USB port on the main controller board for USB printing (as described above).
In order to print via the USB port, the following items are required:

            1. The appropriate Canon Printer Kit must be installed in the imageRUNNER.

            2. The imageRUNNER-iR Series models do not ship with a USB cable. A USB 2.0 High Speed cable must be obtained on your own.

            3. Make sure the 'Use USB Device' setting on the iR is turned 'On'.

Enabling the 'Use USB Device' setting on the machine:

            I. For most imageRUNNERs follow these instructions:

            1. On the iR, press Additional Functions.
            2. Press System Settings.
            3. Press Network Settings.
            4. Scroll down to 'USB Settings'. Press USB Settings.
            5. Select the 'Use USB Device' option.
            6. Set it to 'On'. Hit OK.
            7. Reboot the imageRUNNER for the changes to take effect.

            What about thru RUI Interface

Direct Print is a printer feature built into the Remote User Interface. It only appears when the printer kit is installed. It allows printing directly to the copier through a web interface bypassing the use of the installed drivers.

The following file types can be printed using the Direct Print option in the RUI:
            1. PDF 1.3
            2. TIFF 6.0
            3. JPEG
            4. PS level 3-3011 (and EPS in newer devices)

*Note: The Direct Print option is only available if the Canon Multi-PDL Printer Kit is installed.
