That bias plate connects to the itb assembly, providing transfer bias to the primary xfer rollers. The bias contact for cyan and K are on the bottom of the cyan hopper base.

      Hi Roho,

Thanks for your contribution, do you have any diagrams or imagery pointing to this location?

there isn't much in the manuals on this, but the best way to see is to remove the itb and shine a light in, you'll see the four hopper bases, and the plate on the middle two, magenta and cyan. These plates interconnect with the itb, the cyan plate providing bias to the cyan and k xfer, while the plate one the magenta does likewise for the magenta and yellow. I would however strongly recommend cleaning the lasers themselves as well. The lasers are in pairs, two units, however each laser unit houses two separate lasers themselves. Ive had k fail with light prints, while cyan was perfect. I would however, remove and clean the lasers also, as there is now a mod for toner getting into them. If it was a bias issue, I'd suspect the prints would be uniformly light, and the yellow and magenta lasers are more prone to toner build up due to their proximity to the itb cleaner assembly. I've removed them before in some cases of uneven density like you"ve described and cleaned the lens. They often do get very dirty. Some things to try.

Usually when you lose a transfer bias or current you would see the light area across the entire length of the print, running from front to rear of the machine. This light area is at front or rear of machine, in paper feed direction. Loss of transfer current or bias would affect the whole length of the transfer roll, not just the end
