According to this tb, they were supposed to update the pad. The ones I get don't have white dots and I have a couple high volume machines that have this symptom. Anybody ever hear of a new pad?

GENERAL:
Due to a malfunction in the manufacturing process, the step to add a tacky surface coating that creates the
friction coefficient of the DADF-D1 Separation Pad was compromised and the pad did not meet the factory
specifications.
DETAILS:
During a two-month period beginning in June and ending in July, Separation pads that were manufactured for
the DADF-D1 on the imageRUNNER 5020/6020 failed to meet factory specifications for friction coefficient.
This results in a symptom of Multi-feeds (Jam Code 0002) in the DADF-D1. During this time Canon USA
service stock was also affected as well as some DADF-D1 80K Feed Handy QA kits sold by us.
SOLUTION:
Canon, Inc. has rectified the problem and is in the processes of sending verified Separation Pads marked with
a white dot to our warehouse. These verified pads continue to use the original part number (FF3-3983-000).
The white dot will be used for a limited time until the part number is changed (to be determined at a later
date), and then eliminated. A Technical Publication will be published at a later time informing you of the part
number change.
