Oh guys just help me, with this problem, CANON 1024 IR when you command 10 copies it prints 1 copy and it Displays system Error 100 but have checked all parts 1. drum unit switct it is ok

Make sure your outlet is grounded properly & supplying correct voltages
EX.- Ground to Neutral should be 0v > 0.5 no more.
poor ground could damage Main Controller

is E197 occurring at power on.
Check the connectors of the DC controller PCB and image processor PCB.

E100= at power on
make sure DC CONTROLLED is not covered with toner dust/ dust


E197Printer engine communication error/
-try to reload the System Software

E100BD detection PCB failure
- Check the connector of the BD detection PCB.

I had the same problem ( Error 197) four mounth ago....In my case it was the fixing unit...I swap it with other machine and both of them are working right until now
