    [Misc] image press c1, finisher

Have an image press C1, and a finisher with a miss match in firmware. Is it possible to flash the firmware to the finisher in some manner other then then using the hardware down loading device? I'm wondering if it's possible to download the firmware using service support tool, either through crossover, or usb, and not have to use the download device for the finisher aa1.

    Thanks in advance!

No, jamming in booklet mode. The finisher and saddle stich are at version 3.02 and 3.03. The main unit is at 66.04
C1 was a demo and the finisher tossed in. Ive replaced a few parts, always the same jam, same timing.

          ----------------------------------------
Those 3.02 & 3.03 were to be only for demo purposes --- in year 2006

          the AA1/AA2 > v5.01 came with v64.06 Firmware release in 2008

Believe there have been two updates to that Finisher AA1/AA2 since y2008

The following changes occur when upgrading the Finisher-AA1/Saddle Finisher-AA2 Software of the
          imagePRESS C1 copiers from v5.01 to v6.01.

Modification of "1122" jam that occurs when a duplex punch job is performed
with the setting of heavy paper less than 297mm in length.

Saddle Finisher AA2 Service Manual Specifications solely for the Saddle Stitcher Unit
          Plain Paper = 64 to 105g/m2
          Material for Cover = 64 to 256g/m2

NOTE: Please note that this jam can occur if any out-of-specification paper is being used and it is not specific to the glossy paper discussed in this knowledge base article. You should never use out-of-specification paper when performing a saddle job as it will damage and shorten the Saddle Unit's life and the jam aforementioned can occur.
