    Canon IRC-4080

    Hi,

Does anybody know what alarm code 340001 on irc-4080 means? can't find it on the manual.

I am getting this a lot printing double sided, also getting the message suspended, then i have to cycle and start all over again.

Also having some delay jams on ps21 and 24,.. cleaned the rollers and sensors, this helped a little.

The auto registration pattern read data includes a 0 or the patch could not be read.

The presence of dirt or a scratch on the belt has been wrongly identified as a pattern, thus causing a discrepancy in the read data.

inspect the ITB> clean & or replace
++make sure the External >Secondary Transfer Roller is positioned correctly

also make sure the control panel shows correct paper size in tray that is selected
Check to make sure that the ---->Mylar Guide located in the External Delivery Door is firmly in place and shows no damage.

PS 24 is difficult to find.
To check the sensor in the I/O mode, first find the sensor by pulling out the multi feed assembly. In the image below the sensor arm is visible in the center of the metal plate. Check if the sensor arm moves freely and is spring loaded. The I/O address is P007 bit 7. The sensor should be at a (0) condition at power on. It changes to a (1) when paper passes over the sensor arm. The I/O address for this sensor can be checked with the multi feed assembly pulled out of the machine. The part # for the sensor is FH7-7312-000.

To remove the Duplex Pickup Sensor, PS 24.
    1) Remove the rail support plate [2] of the manual feed unit.
-2 screws [1] from the rear side plate side.

Thanks for the detailed information.. found a piece of plastic Mylar underneath the fixing path going to double side.
      This was causing the jams.
