hi..i have an issue with a new canon imagerunner 2420...when i turn on the machine it displaying only the time and date and nothing more...is there any help gentlemen?thank you

I suggest you take it back to the supplier instead of tampering with it; avoid nullifying the warranty!

yes..it is belong to a customer from other city in libya called ejdabya..that is all i know my dear

When you first turn them on from thte factory they ask you the time zone and date as well as country code if there's a fax. Are you sure that's not what they're getting. If you could get a screenshot of the display for us that would help tremendously.

Hello Montana,

These are low cost machines. they are commercialized by canon Europe (for the European market) and CME (Canon Middle East) in Middle east and Africa. For your issue, you can try a "Clear All" and reinstall the machine from the beginning.

Ask your boss to have you trained how to install a brand new machine.
A brand new machine will ask your Country , Time zone and Date, just like you buy a new Smartfone.

I make it a point to clear all/mmi/initialize all data and then upgrade to latest sys software before it even leaves the shop. I believe that should be part of the install procedure. I lost count of the amount of times I had to flash/nuke a system within 2 weeks of install.
