canon irc2020 remove paper from the output tray

Hi

We have a machine that is asking you to remove paper from the output tray when there is none present.
The sensor arm is present and functioning correctly.
If you restart the machine it willl work fine for a few minutes then throw the error again.
Has anyone had this please?

does this machine have a inner finisher ? if so check the lower limit switch sensor connection

In this case, the message was displayed because PI10 (Lower Limit Sensor) was defective. Replace sensor with (WG8-5696-000).

ignore my post, didn't read the no internal finisher. Are you getting this on the UI for the machine or on the print driver? If driver, reload it with the latest and replace the old drive. If UI then initialize all settings from system settings.

It displays the error on the machine display

initialize the settings and/or clear all. Does the black sensor flag where the paper comes out move freely?
