    IR5070 E025-001

Have an IR5070 in the field that was throwing an E025-001, replaced the motor FK2-0813 still got same code. The strange thing is, if you open the toner door the copier works fine, but once you close the door it throws the E025-001.... Any ideas?

An over-current has been detected in the toner
    feed motor.
    - Check the connector for any fault in
    connection.
    - Replace the motor.

perhap you should remove and clean tonner supply unit

Cartridge Motor (MSW8) drive switch could be bad. The switch may be loading down the voltage to the motor causing it to error out.

May need replace MSW8 for this issue. The part number for the switch is FK2-0384-000.

Also inspect of the wiring harness for M9, it may be discovered that a tie wrap is shorting the wiring together. This will cause the DC Controller to fail.
Once the wiring is repaired, the imageRUNNER could function normally.

Check DC controller for a blown fuse. FU15
THese are brown or green resistor fuses, with FUxxx written beside them.
when the motor goes bad, it eventually blows the DC controller, if you turn machine on too many times

The issue is the bottle isn't rotating properly, make sure the machine has the correct Toner Bottle installed & the guides on the bottle are not binding with the guide in the Hopper Unit - IR5055 & IR5570 bottles are different.

Replace the motor(toner feed, not bottle rotation) and repair the fuse on the dcon. Been here many times

I would see if the bottle even tries to turn with the door closed sensor tripped. If it doesn't even turn then it's def the fuse or wiring harness.

Motor and fuse.....or...motor and dcon if you're not capable of replacing the fuse. Done many, many of these. Sub code 0002 is rotation motor....your concern is toner feed motor(sub code 0001). Toner drops on the motor and it shorts internally

The quality of the Toner Feed Motor is not so good, it does not use a carbon brush but only fine wires which breaks easily.
When it breaks it causes a short and blows the Fuse at the DC controller.
Replacing the Motor and the Fuse will solve the problem.
