[Misc] Department ID Canon Advance Image runner 4035

    Hi Geeks,
Could you help me with this:
I want to setup department id and password to control paper usage.
I was thinking that I can setup like that: For example Department ID 12 and then pin 1234,1235,2345 for each user, because this look more logical department ID 12 to be for accounting dept, and each user to have pin then Dept ID 13 for client department and PIN for each user in the client department to be able to control paper usage by department (ID) and also by user(PIN). When I did this department id 12 and pin 1234 ,then register new dept 12 with pin 2345 not working . .Do I need to setup different department ID for each user and also PIN.I don't want to use SSO Active directory for them because all the time they need to enter username and password it will takes time . Please give me an advice . I really appreciate your help.

    Dept ID must be unique.

tbh, it sounds more like you need something like uniflow.

the department ID system is not an accounting or print control application.

Thanks ! I will take a look at Uniflow how it works, bythe way does it cost or not, because I checked and don't see option to download software, As a read and it shows only for print scan solution , we want to secure and control for Copy too.

You can tie authentication to an active directory which will be a lot easier to propogate changes.
