Would you take this service contract on a Canon IR 8105?

We have a client who wants to place an IR 8105 and run about 100k per month. He wants us to do it for .003 including toner. I thought .005 was pretty aggressive. Should we take the deal? There's little-to-no profit in the sale (about $2k before we bring it up to snuff, but it only has 800k on it.)
    It's a full system....
    What do you think?

.003 toner included? Tell him to contact Santa. Wouldn't consider it at all. Personally .007 or goodbye

Id probably knock another $1500 off the price, do all his networking for free, maybe lower the cpc to .0000001 and throw in a trip to the Bahamas lol. I swear this is the only industry that the cpc keeps getting lower but the parts/toner, techs salary, vehicles and fuel prices keep going up???? end of rant

I know I'm late to the party but that rate makes me think you are in Indianapolis. Am I close? Crazy low rates there! I have seen some rates on new machines being bid as low as $.001. Guess what kind of service comes with that...NONE!

Don't think so low in China now.
Yes, all of the carbon powder is substitute in China.Rather than the original.
And the machine is second-hand machines. Is not new.
But 0.001 is also can't do.

Great example for future rate negotiations! Thanks zuojin168!

its .005 on a government contract with multiple machines at the location on a 7095 so yes .007 is more like it. 100k a month warrants .01 because that is some heavy running. You could be there twice a month at least.

Sounds to me like the client sales rep is a bit headstrong/egotistical, trying to close a deal to show off rather than be productive. I may be just a low level tech my self, but I'd still tell the client to seek services with another, low service(quality) provider.

Fact is, the time of your techs, price of parts and toner and everything else is worth far more than the bid being offered. If the budget is the issue, I'm sure they could still up it up at least 2 more cents. The point of business is to do business, not scam or stiff one another in the deal, it's an equal partnership and here, I don't see it being equal at all.
