3245 2 tray finisher too high

I have a 3245 that the two tray output bin has driven to high. I can't release the trays to come back down. I checked the the cable, looked ok. Where is the sylonoid to release the tray so it will come back down?

    Finisher AE1/AE2/

under side bottom left corner >small opening > there is a release> use small screwdriver to slide over for both trays

when the clutch is released, the tray [2] drops by its own weight. Be sure to hold
the tray with your hand when releasing the clutch.

Thank you. But is this for the internal two tray or is that one standing on the floor? Mine is the internal 2 tray.

I think it is "Inner 2-way Tray D1"

The other posibility they say the S1 can have single tray J1 install. But I think it is the 2-way tray D1.

              It definitely is B.

                ---------------------
any e540 error codes in service mode

a blown fuse on S1 Finisher controller would lock up tray

The Finisher service manual shows M6 as the stack tray shift motor but it is actually M1.

Check the Lower Limit Sensor (PI10) for blockage or operation , part number WG8-5696-000

The lower limit of the stack tray is detected by the stack tray lower limit sensor (PI10). When the stack tray lower limit sensor is turned on, the stack shift motor can run only in the direction that leaves this sensor.

                Functions of the DIP Switch
The DipSW (SW1) function of the finisher controller PCB is as follows.
                - After setting the DipSW (SW1), the check item is changed in order each time the Push SW (SW2) is pressed.
                -
Turn OFF all bits of the Dip SW (SW1) after checking.
1.Checking operation of the stack tray unit
                DIPS.JPG
                Points to check:
                1) Initial operation of the stack tray is executed.
(*1) Operation differs depending on initial status

                2) Initial operation of the option tray is executed. (
When the option tray is attached.)
(*1) Operation differs depending on initial status

                3) The stack tray moves to the factory default position (position at the time of packing).

                4) The stack tray moves to the bottom position (standby position at the time of replacing the offset roller).
(*1) Initial operation of the tray
                - When the tray stops at the home position: The tray moves down by 20mm. Then, the tray moves back to the home position with a press of the Push SW (SW2).
                - When the tray stops at other than the home position: The tray moves to the home position.

That style of finisher was junk. It will have broken wires in either of the upper or lower tray from spending it's life rubbing against a metal plate. What moron of an engineer thought that was a good idea?

To lower tray, there is a cut-out on bottom at rear of tray. Move the gear and tray will move.....kinda like the external finisher
