[Misc] IR 2420L

We are faching problem of canon IR 2420L ( with out DADF) the mchine display showing feeder cover open. Checked all the cards, IP, Reader PCB, D.C controler,
Power supply, I.P to Reader PCB flat cable. But not identify the problem.Need to require proper guide lines.

J405 on Reader Controller PCB/is Connected to the copyboard open/close sensor.

make sure the Copy board cover is making contact with that LEVER of open/close

Make sure back left Copyboard Cover Hinge is not damaged (causes poor position to close on lever)

check the Copyboard cover open/close sensor #1 (Rear: SR402)

Photo interrupter: Detects the copyboard cover open/ close status.
Starts detecting the original size when the copyboard cover angle is 30 deg.


Copyboard cover open/close sensor #12 (SR403)
Finishes detecting the original size when the copyboard cover angle is 5 deg.


check that LEVER/ for copy cover open/close

J405 on Reader Controller PCB/is Connected to the copyboard open/close sensor.

Mr teckat give me a chance on this issue
pls do the procedure exactly as i will describe
remove the reader controller and the ip from the fault machine
install them on another m/c working (the reader controller first then the ip),the machine will work
take the other pcb's and install them to the fault m/c it will work

Why would u go thru all that work for a simple check of open\close sensors & lever & hinge check
Makes no sense
