Good day All

I have a Canon Ir 4570 which feed only one paper from ADF upon pressing the start button. When pressed the start button second time gain I page is feed

can any body help me with this. I know it is some setting. if the roller cleaning is done by keeping 10 pages in the adf it pull all correctly

makes no sense what u say/
first issue = it will not pick up second sheet
(what happens ?/ how many sheets were in tray in first issue ? does/or did pickup unit move down to second sheet

-was there a detection (PI 9) of paper in tray after first pick up ?
-was there any jam code ?

second issue> u clean rollers> place 10 sheets> all is working yes or no !!!!!!


by cleaning rollers u may have unstuck the Original Placement Sensor(PI 9) Detecting Lever

Original Placement Sensor(PI 9) Detecting Lever can catch on the edge of the slot it sticks through. The detecting lever will free up as you open the guide to check the original feed area. This makes it difficult to see the sticking lever in the stuck position. I
The end of the lever and the edges of the slot were smoothed out using a Scotch-Brite pad. Be sure to take off just enough of the surface to ensure free movement of the lever in the slotted area.

Original detection =checks the presence/absence of an original in the original pickup tray.
original placement sensor (PI 9)

Last original detection = checks to see if the original being moved is the last original of the stack.
last original sensor (PI 8)

The machine uses the following sensors to check for original jams

PI2: registration sensor
PI3: read sensor
PI4: delivery reversal sensor
PI10: cover open/closed sensor

On 3245 series document feeders, you actually have to lengthen that arm. The front shoulder wears away and when only one document is inserted it passes underneath it or with a couple documents in a stack it doesn't feed the last one or two. I have numerous brokers as customers that scan one-sies and two-sies all the time and it is common. The way you know is document light goes out with paper in tray. I just glue a piece of shim stock on the side of it to square the end up and lengthen it fractionally. Make sure that it doesn't hang up...this thing relies on gravity to drop into position

After first sheet is fed, is the document detected light lit?
