    [Misc] Glossy Stock Issue

On a Canon imagepress C6000 having issue when printing on glossy stock. The collecting roller in the primary fuser is loading up with toner. Seems that the fuser is not getting hot enough. I have it set to adjust fuser temp before starting printing. Also set to prioiry quality.

    Thanks
    Tom

    imagePRESS C6000 and C6010 non-VP machines.
If you see that the collecting rollers are becoming heavily soiled within 5000 prints and the upper fixing roller is damaged, suspect that one or more of the customer’s media profiles were incorrectly created. Please note that changing the GSM in the media profile does not change the profile. It is only informational.

Time the customer’s profile against the appropriate default. If the customer’s profile runs faster, it was created incorrectly. Delete and create a new profile by duplicating the appropriate default.

Since we are talking about glossy stock :

I have a customer asking about irac 9060 Pro ability to run glossy stock (120-220 gsm range).

How does this machine handle glossy media ?

Canon is always confusing when it comes to paper use as u can see

        SEE PDF CANON PAPER GUIDE

        iR_ADVANCE_C9065_PRO_CED_V5.pdf

        DRAWS=220g/m
        MULTI TRAY=300g/m

        COPY TRAY P1=300g/m

        C9070 PRO and C9060 PRO

Un-coated stocks, gloss media*, a maximum standard paper size of SRA3
(or 330.2 x 487.7mm for irregular size), plus weights as thick as 300 gsm**
        provide extensive possibilities.

        *B/W uncoated only **B/W 256 gsm

NORMAL ADVICE GIVEN TO CUSTOMERS IS TO DO A FULL GRAD ON THE PAPER STOCK THEY ARE GOING TO USE.
