    Irc3080 UFRII

We have a customer with a Canon irc3080 that only lists UFRII under devices, no PCL or PS. Tech is trying to install on network and it will print but it won't let them choose any print options such as paper size so if they are trying to print a letter document on to an 11x17 sheet, they can't. It doesn't show the 4 paper trays or anything. Could this be a driver issue, I think he might have v2.7 preloaded on his flash. Also, this copier looks like it had a fiery attached to the back at some point so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.

    Canon U.S.A. : Support & Drivers : imagePASS-J1

imagePASS (PS controller) enables you to use the machine, not only as a PostScript printer when loaded with Adobe PostScript
3 software, but also as an emulation printer of PCL5c.
imagePASS is an optional PS (PostScript) controller that is attached to the back of the machine.
It can efficiently output various data types, such as large and complex files (which combine graphics, photos, and text),
Adobe PostScript 3 files, detailed graphics, etc.

Settings that can be specified from the touch panel display

Sorry I wasn't very clear. There is no Imagepass J1 attached but there are screws on the back as if it had one in the past. The IMG CONT is set to 0.

        Re: Irc3080 UFRII

U need the correct driver for UFRII

        UFRII_v14.00_Setup.exe or UFRII_v14.00_INF.exe
        Canon U.S.A. : Support & Drivers : Color imageRUNNER C3080

        Printing> OPTIONS

        Color PCL Printer Kit--LMS Activated

        Color PS Printer Kit
--LMS Activated// *PS Printer Kit-Q1 requires that PCL Printer Kit-Q1 and iR 512MB Expansion RAM-C1 be previously installed.

imagePASS (PS controller)UFRII printing is not available if the optional imagePASS J1 is added.
(J1- Open Interface Pcb uses the same slot needed for UFRII pcb.

        License Management System (LMS)
Optional software features are preinstalled on all new units. To activate the software programs, the feature must be licensed through the License
Management System (LMS) server. This replaces the need for additional hardware or dongles to activate new software.

The LMS is a server based software license program. Each purchased software application package contains a license access number certificate with the documentation. The Dealer must enter the license access number and the Color imageRUNNER serial number into the LMS server to generate a license Key.

You can check for the LMS-based Printer Kit on the Canon device the same way as you would check for any other installed LMS-based option or kit.

        Perform the following steps:

        1. Press the [Counter Check] button on the copier control panel.

        2. Hit the [Device Configuration] button on the LCD screen.

        3. Scroll down through all of the available pages on this Device Configuration screen. Look for either PS, PCL or UFRII. The methods listed there (ex. PS, PCL, or UFRII) are installed and are available for printing.

        * Note - You will need to install the appropriate printer drivers on the workstation in order to print.
