[Misc] Canon IR C5051 copies, scan to email fine but print jobs fail

I was installing a Canon IR C5051 yesterday and I could ping it, could scan to email, copy and all worked fine, just like it should. But I installed pcl6, pcl5 on a pc and a ps on a mac and they all failed.... no code but status page showed "NG" and details gave no clues. Any print job sent would wake the printer and you would think it would spit out the job but after 2 seconds... Nothing and status shows NG. Any ideas? This mfc worked fine prior to being moved 1200 miles to a new office location.

Do you have the B1 controller like teckat indicated??

If not you should print out your IP/Network settings and take a veeeeery close look at your settings. I had this exact same issue with a IRC 3380i. After 3 days of headaches, I found out that the genius that owns the copier set up a IP restriction to block a certain IP range. It worked just fine for him up until he switched to a new router and thus got a new IP subnet.... which was coincidentally blocked. But it was the same symptom, the machine would wake up and just not do anything, basically dropping the job. Also it was sending scan jobs via email just fine. It was one of those settings you would never think to check but could throw you a loop.

Just a thought if you have not solved this one yet!

That printer comes default with UFR II printing capability. It sounds like it doesn't have the pcl or ps option. Try installing the UFR II driver.
