this machine had the same problem a few months ago. the copy comes out this way no matter how you use the machine. through the feeder, off the glass, or being printed to. it is very random and i sometimes cant make it screw up. i ended up replacing the scanner ribbon cable and that had seemed to make the machine work fine. i cant see another ribbon cable being needed so soon. i cant really explain what the copy looks like so i added a pic of the problem. thanks

does this issue happen with COLOR & B&W or just B&W
when u have the same exact random issue for DF Feeder Copies(scanned on glass), Glass Copies & Network Prints (Scanner ribbon cable is not involved with Network Prints)>
-The CCD driver (Glass Copies)>reduces the impedance of image signals from CCD in its buffer (impedance reduction circuit), and sends the result to the Analog Processor PCB.
-A/D(Analog/Digital) conversion circuit converts B, G, and R image signals into 8-bit digital signals each in sync with the ADCLK signal,
and sends the result to the Image Processor PCB
U need to look into the Image Processor PCB & or LASER being an issue
The Laser BD signal is used to send video signals from the Image Processor PCB to the Laser Controller PCB. The laser controller PCB is designed to correct video signals, and the Laser Driver PCB is used to send out video signals as laser intensity control signals in sequence.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.** -
Re: ic 1180
oh sorry just reread and it would not be scanner as it is print jobs as welli have seen similar when i replaced the scanner assy it fixed the problemComment
