Eo24 has got something to do with developer not being detected 0002 will be magenta. Make sure that all the contacts that that make contact with the drum developer unit are all OK. Maybe also check the drum dev. drive at the back behind drum dev. assembly that slides out is OK.

check the developer connection, clean it out since toner tends to drop in it, or could be a bad toner sensor in the dv unit, skip the magenta from previous post since the 2870 is a black and white machine

Sorry about quoting info on the colour I thought we were talking about the irc2880. I found some more stuff that is related to E024 hopefully this could be of assistance.

thanks LUTHER, and dutchman for help ..................i clean developing assembly,,toner sensor and re install toner ........the copier work properly...........
