IR 8070 image problem when printing from computer only and only 11 by 17

when a print job is sent to this machine, only 11 by 17 has this problem, the plans (house) are quite faint. If you send a 8 by 11 or a 8 by 14 its perfect. If you do a copy all are perfect...can it be a driver set up issue...when sent to another 8070 that they have prints perfect...their IT feels its the machine and not the driver... help!!
You never realize how cheap a professional is until after you let an amateur do it.... and
if this was an easy thing to do then everybody would be doing it! But it isn't and they are not!!

UFRII is a driver, if you go to canons website, support, downloads and type in your language, OS and type of machine, you will find the list of drivers there. is the Copy Quality the same for prints, copies etc, bypass and all cassettes? Its very hard to determine, do you have any of the images that you can post? I think on the driver, you can adjust the contrast so that faint lines on images can be darkened.
