    Ir7105 V1 Finisher Jamming

    Hi Guys,

I would need some expert help over here.

I am experiencing paper jam on V1 Finisher.

    The jam code reads

1004 Shift unit sensor delay PS4 The shift unit sensor (PS4) does not detect paper within a specific period of time (distance) after the inlet sensor (PS3) has detected paper
May I know what is the course of action to take? I am really stress up with this consistent jamming.

    Thanks in advanced!

is the the lead edge of the paper dented.
is this on all paper sizes

is a Internal Punch Unit V1 installed. if so>paper may wear cuts into the mylar
check if the Loop Sheet (mylar) has any cuts or damage =Loop Sheet is FC6-6209-000

      Hello,

1004 is delay Jam. I attach the finisher sensor positions. Ask yourself the following questions and try to answer them:

1- Are the paper feeding rollers between S3 and S4 rotating?

2- What is the paper position when it jams?

3- What is the paper shape ? Is there any mark on it?

      4- Is the sensor S4 good ?

I'm having the same problem. Jamming from every tray on 11x17 every time. Stops right before PS4. Anyone have advice?

Removed V1 finisher, runs perfect! Rebuilt fuser unit a month ago. Replaced all rollers on trays. The finisher does have a 3 hole punch unit. Paper stops after reaching shift unit. Thanks for your quick reply!!

I have the same issue with the 11x17. It stops in the shift unit every time. I get 1004. Also when duplexing it stops in the duplexer every time . I get 0111. The sheet doesn't make it all the way down the chute before it tries to reverse and jams. It runs 8.5x11 all day long. I cannot figure this out.
