ir2545i and inner finisher B1

Hi,
I fitted a B1 inner finisher to an ir2545i today but the B1 does nothing. It just sits there in a dead state and the paper fed just jams against it. There is no drive in the unit, nothing.
Do I have to fit the optional power unit U1 to this machine ? I was told not but that may be incorrect ?

Hello once i stuck at my client at the same problem yes you need a power to let the finisher work
