    Canon IR5055N

    Dear all ,

i really have a weird problem , i have a machine at my client i posted before a few days it was giving e001 and i changed all the thermistors , after a 3 days the machine gives error e0004 ,and also errror e00025-001 .

i worked first on the error e00025-001 and i changed all the Hooper ,to save time (cos as i read on the service manual its a motor of the toner problem ) and also followed the wires that connected between the Hooper and the machine nothing appear and still giving the error , what i have noticed that when i turn the machine on without closing the toner cover the machine works fine and can print and copy ,just when i close the toner door the machine fastly givin the error e0025-001 , so now m debuting in the power supply with located up of the heater cos when i followed the wires of the hooper i noticed that its plugged in the power .

my question is ! is the power of the ir5055N same the power ir5570 ? i guess no but better to hear from you the answer also .
2nd question Is the thermister of IR5570 same as IR5055N ? because i also debut that the error occur when i changed the thermisters(i replaced it with IR5570 instead IR5055N, but same connecters .

    thanks

check out this bulletin on e001 and e004, also if you have replaced the hopper and you are still getting the error, then it would seem that the toner bottle isnt turning, id replace the motor assy, had that a few times.

ive replaced the bottle drive assy- FM2-3024-000 and sub hopper drive assy - FM2-9653-000

ive found with the sub hopper that it can get caked in toner and causes errors.

E025....fuse on dcon is probably open...small on-board fuse. Replace the fuse or replace the dcon... F15 I believe. E001 and E004 issues...if you have replaced the thermistors make sure they don't lift off the upper fuser roll when they translate to the rear of the machine. Also check for paper smushed inside drawer connector. If it has an external finisher make sure paper surface detection flag assembly is not warped..add a shim to front edge of trays to ensure proper actuation.

U probably have a Main DC Power Supply issue (poor 24v constant supply)
                    and/or a poor connection/supply issue (wiring harness for M9)

M9 is the motor that the 001 detail code references. The motor is referred to by several different names in various service documentation including: Toner Supply Motor, Toner Feed Motor and Toner Stirring Motor.

The part number for M9 is FK2-0813-000 and the following figures show it's location in the machine.

                        sub code > 110 u r missing full code or it's correction

E004 is caused either by a fault in the power supplied to the fuser assembly or a breakdown of a component inside the fuser assembly
E004 The IH power supply is faulty/the IH control mechanism is faulty.
After correcting the fault, be sure to reset the error.
                        (COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR)

                        sub codes:

0101 There is a mismatch between the input voltage
and the IH power supply ID. Replace the fixing heater power
supply with one designed for the country of installation (voltage).

0102 The IH current is faulty. (current leakage) - Check the connector
                        for any fault in connection.
                        - Replace the fixing heater power supply.
                        - Replace the DC controller PCB.
0103 The IH current is faulty. (no current)
0104 There is an IH over-current.
0105 The IH input voltage is too high.
0106 The IH input voltage is too low.
0201 At power-on (or, when IH is at reset), the IH control mechanism is not in an initial state.
0202 At IH start-up, the IH control enable flag is not set within 1 sec after the start flag is set.
0203 With IH at rest, the IH control flag is not released.
0204 The 12-V power supply (IH relay) is identified as being off.
0205 At IH start-up, the PWM_ON data is faulty ('0' or 'FFFF').
                        - Replace the DC controller PCB

troubleshooting this error> U should first check and monitor the voltage at the wall outlet.
If the voltage coming from the outlet drops below 105V AC at any time the imageRUNNER will display an E004.

A test of the neutral to ground voltage should also be performed. This will confirm there are no abnormal voltage ratings.

The Voltage check should be made during an extended copy run where a minimum of 100 copies are made.

E004-0204 = u may have poor supply to or defective switches

check the front door micro switch (SW2) and right door micro switch (SW6).

after months of suffering to find parts for this machine finally my problem is solved ,first of all i changed the hooper for ir5055 instead the ir6570 and changed the DC PCB and the machine worked finally .

about the code e001 it was the thermister was far away from the fixing roller so i located it will and the problem also solved .

thanks for all your help and support
