    IR Advance C5250 Fiery Rip B2 goes offline

    The Canon IR C5250 has a B2 Fiery that is not responding and goes offline and needs a shutdown/restart to come back online. I have removed and cleaned the memory card from B2 and this worked for a 2 month period of time but now is happening again. Thanks in advance for any ideas of a solution.

    I would start by reloading B2 software, and make sure your black cable is plugged in correctly. A and B sides towwrds the A and B marks

      There have been issues with Crossover Cables shipped with B2--that cause connectivity issues with iRADVC 52xx series

      Gold colored connector has issue////

        The C5250 Imagepass B2 intermittently is hanging print jobs. They are seen when checking the status at the copier the customer tells me. They shut down the copier and the print comes out. It is happening at least once a day in a busy office which prints every few minutes all day. This post is from long ago and it was resolved for a while and now it is back again. Back then I cleaned the memory and card within the Fiery RIP and it seemed ok for a while.

        The cables are the silver connectors so they should be ok.

        Any other ideas would be helpful.

          ================================================== ======

          Did you Perform a Controller System Diagnosis on the machine by powering on the machine while holding down the 2&4 keys.
          The diagnosis takes about 3 or 4 minutes.
          When the diagnostics are done the machine will display a big
          OKon the control panel if all boards are communicating.
          If the display shows a big
          NG, it will list the items that fail below it on the display with an NG next to them.
          The explanation for the SN errors is in the service manual.

          Is Fiery Re-Booting every two minutes or so ???

          Check the copier display and see if it is giving you a check network connection message.
          If yes, disconnect the
          Fiery cross over cable and hook it to your laptop. Do you still get the message?
