    =====================

FF - The imagePASS is not booting up.

The most common causes of hardware problems are faulty or loose connections. Make sure that iPR-T1 cables are intact and that both ends of each cable are properly aligned and well seated on the appropriate connectors.

Also check the positions of the two switches on the connector panel./ Normal position (both are down):

Check external and internal connections and cables.

    EXTERNAL
    1-Communications cable
    2-Ethernet crossover cable
3-Ethernet Straight cable (For network connection

    Open Box--Internal
Make sure that any iPR-T1 cables, boards, and DIMMs are intact, properly aligned, and well seated in their connectors-

    • Hard disk drive (HDD) and HDD SATA cable
    • DIMM
    • Enclosed fan and cable
    • CPU cooling assembly and fan cable
    • PORT 80 board and cable
    • Power supply and cables

Before you perform service on the iPR-T1 hardware:
    • Power off the iPR-T1 using the print engine power switch.
    • Unplug the iPR-T1 from the AC power outlet.
    • If you plan to open the iPR-T1 while it is connected to the print engine ( not recommended ), make sure also to unplug the print engine from its AC power outlet before you open the iPR-T1.

If you had to reload the system software on the faulty T1 fiery your problem would also be solved. You would have to reconfigure the Fiery again.

If you have the software disks you need to power down the T1. Flip the two dipswithes on the side if the Fiery to the top, that will put it into service mode. Link your PC or Laptop to the network port of the Fiery. When you start running the 1st disk it will give you the instructions to follow and also show you the port with the IP address in use. Select that port and then start the process.
            Hope this will assist you.

I would not short leads on this Fiery T1 battery , unless u. know motherboard has a confirmed CMOS fix, u will losse date. try time function, and create more issues.
Some Fiery's had patches for permanent battery removal on them, or updated boards installed.

I would Just remove & reseat it.

Fiery Installer Utility Fails to Start the System Software Installation
                  Problem :
On certain Fiery controllers, system software can be installed over a network connection using the Fiery Installer utility on the System Software CD. When this is attempted, it times out. Everything appears to be set up correctly, however the Fiery Installer utility fails to start the system software installation.

                  Solution :
Check the following settings on the PC you are using to install the system software from:

                  I. Disable any security software running on the PC - Verify that any security software running on the PC is disabled (ex. firewall, anti-virus, etc). If you are running Windows XP SP2, verify that the Windows Firewall has been disabled.

II. Disable the QoS Packet Scheduler -

                  1. Right click on 'My Network Places' and select Properties from the resulting popup menu.
                  2. Right click on 'Local Area Connection' and select Properties from the resulting popup menu.
                  3. On the General tab of the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, scroll through the items in the 'This connection uses the following items' field, looking for 'QoS Packet Scheduler'.

                  4. If 'QoS Packet Scheduler' is present, verify that it is disabled (unchecked). If it is checked on, uncheck it.
                  5. Click OK.

III. Disable the Deterministic Network Enhancer -

                  1. Right click on 'My Network Places' and select Properties from the resulting popup menu.
                  2. Right click on 'Local Area Connection' and select Properties from the resulting popup menu.
                  3. On the General tab of the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, scroll through the items in the 'This connection uses the following items' field, looking for 'Deterministic Network Enhancer'.
                  4. If 'Deterministic Network Enhancer' is present, verify that it is disabled (unchecked). If it is checked on, uncheck it.
                  5. Click OK.
