IRA7260i won't boot correctly

Hey guys,

Having an odd time with this machine, the machine won't load correctly and hangs on loading screen, at full bar with logo showing.

Oddly you can access service mode and print out test prints ect fine, firmware has been overwritten with the latest and I've even performed the HD-CHECK function, all coming back normal.

Now I know what your thinking, memory chips, they have been reseated and the contacts checked /cleaned with no effect.

Any ideas?

if it helps at all there are MEAP applications installed on the machine also (on contemplation it's possible they are causing the problem).

So u did >LEVEL1> COPIER> FUNCTION> SYSTEM> HD-CHECK>0, HD-CLEAR

Power off\on had no effect_same 100% on progress bar ,no logo_?


Did u try to remove & re-seat all Main Board connections_?

did the HD check ect but just to be clear the logo IS present and hangs when the load bar is full.

no, I hadn't got to the point of taking the Main controllers out and reseating them yet, time constraints on the customer site prevented further investigation past overwriting the firmware and reseating the memory.

I'll give it shot when I'm next on site and will get back to you, going to try formatting the HDD and reapplying the firmware to clear out the MEAP applications as we don't have any control over the MEAP apps on this particular machine and its possible their IT is trying to pretended they didn't mess up

problem resolved.

was the MEAP application that was causing the problem, cleared out section 11 and 13 of the HDD using the CHK-HD>xx>HD-Clear>HD-CHK functions (make sure if you follow this that after each instance of clear that you DO the CHK function or risk HDD not initialising correctly).

all good in the hood now though, ruined someones day in the customer IT department though in doing that
