Developing blade adjustment on iR7105

Hi Fellas,

By (stupidity is the right word I guess) I removed the developing blade (as shown on pic with Nr.4)

Afterwards I read on the manual that it should not be removed in the field.

What I did was : fold an A4 80 gsm sheet in two and put between the blade and the dev roller as a spacer.

Anyone done this ? What should be used as a spacer when installing the blade ?

go to an automobile parts store get a feeler gaugefeeler-gauge.jpg. Nothing to worry I do that in the field . Be patient and it will be as good as factory settings. Would need a few trial and error attempts if you dont know the correct spacing.Good luck

u have two of those small thin metal tech 6'' rulers (usually metric for measuring post wire height)

that's what I have used in past years to set blade gap on each end

I used 2 pieces of paper, but the result was not good. On one side the dev. roll image was missing.

The idea of metal rulers looks good

place one >short end in under blade>front corner
place one >short end in under blade>back corner

slightly hold down middle of blade>screw down>slide out rulers> test


Old NP 4050 way-------- Two should be ok to set gap


set the gap gauges between’ the developing blade and developing cylinder (3 locations),
and use the two screws to secure the developing blade to the developing assembly together with the support plate. (At this time, be careful not to strike the developing blade against the developing cylinder.)
