    Canon IPF750 Firmware Error

    Good Afternoon

i have a customer with a Canon ImagePrograf 750. When you turn the plotter on after a few seconds it goes into a firmware error. Machine is not online so I can't update firmware. I tried going into service mode (load and navigate key and power on) and also special mode (stop and navigate keys and power on) with no luck. Is there another way to update or overwrite the firmware or do I have to replace main controller? Thanks in advance.

    Re: Canon IPF750 Firmware Error

There are 2 ways to upgrade (or flash) the firmware.

    1. User mode - the printer is in Online State.
    2. Service Mode - printer is in Download mode - you flash through L Printer Tool.

If neither of these are available - than I guess you should go the hard way (the board way).

I believe that more and more boards are failing with these new generation of printers and they cost a fortune

      Thanks for the response.

It it looks like the hard way (unfortunately). Can't get the printer online or in download mode.
