[Misc] Canon C5051 MailBox PIN reset

I have a canon C5051 and all 99 mailboxes are PIN protected however nobody knows what the PIN is set as (and for that matter nobody has any recollection of setting one). None of the mailboxes xes.have been used and we wish to set up there use now, we have set it up on another (nearly) identical machine and are all OK with the setup procedure however we cannot set it up on this one as we cannot access the mailboxes.

If anyone could provide any advice on how to reset the PIN on the mailboxes without knowing the preexisting one that'd be great. As i said, all the mailboxes are all empty thus it does not matter if this deletes their contents.

    Many thanks.

I have seen this before. I have had to clear the hard drive to fix this. Not sure which sector to clear but this is what fixed it for me. I first did the administration manager login first to see if I could clear it that way but it did not work. I believe something was corrupt in HD. Good luck

I don't believe this has anything to do with the address books and their pin. Mailboxes are a separate function.

Nope, no luck there, still PIN protected.

            Thanks for your help though.

Start clearing hard drive sectors like I suggested. Start with 1 and Ck after each clear. It is one of the first five sectors.
