    Canon iR-ADV C5051 Scan and Send Broken

    Hello,

    I can't seem to figure out why this Scan and Send doesn't work. I know the machine is connected to the network since network print is working. I know there is no issues with getting to the smtp server (using 1and1) since another scanner on the network can Scan to e-mail. I have verified the email address and password are correct. The only thing I can think of is that 1and1 and my ISP requires I use 465 or 587 as the port, and there is no place, I can find, to set that. Even though I have selected to use SSL.

    When I attempt to use Scan and Send, it just fails with "NG" as the code.

    You need to to service level 2 to change ports

      Can you give me insight on that? How to I get to service level 2?

        go to system monitor and send and check the log error when sending, will give you an idea of why its not sending, if its scan to folder it mite be just a authorisation problem, password, user name or something.

          All it says is NG... Not a network problem as printing via network is working as well as another scanner on the network is able to scan to email... same server settings...

          I figured out how to get to "Service Mode" Settings 2&8 settings again... but can't get to level 2

            Figured out how to change the port to 587... that fixed it.
