    Canon IRC3380 Copy Quality problem

After I had the copier moved, the CQ looked bad ,the solids were very weak and broken up. I installed 4 new drum units and ran the Auto Gradation with no improvements. Prior to being moved the quality was good. Any ideas,Thank's Jay

Check the bias tab on rt door that puts bias on the itb assy.

second this as a check, also by moved what do you mean? lifted off ped and up/down stairs or just wheeled over to another part of the same floor?

when you moved the machine did you leave the process unit in the machine?

if so, and you took the machine off level to a very high gradiant of tilt the toner has probably moved in the developing units.

what are the DENS levels in service mode?

(Copier>DISPLAY>DENS) you looking for numbers around the 0% mark +/- about 10%.

if those numbers are off run solid PG 5 of the apropriate colour(s) about 50 pages worth on full dens values (default is at halftone)

          the machine should automatically adjust.

ignore the above with the strike through it, just went back and re-read the initial post about having replaced the drums....*doh*

but if you didn't take the process unit out during transport theres possibly a clog in the toner supply, take out the Cyan toner and open up the hopper, stick a Vac hose in there and suck the cyan out of the hopper.

re-load and boot then run a run of PG5 on full density on Cyan, roughly 50 or so pages to force the machine to re-apply the toner into the hopper, see what happens
