Canon 2520i how to configure Switch Auto RX ???

Hello,

i have a problem on my canon 2520 printer, i need to configure it for Specify how long an incoming call should ring before the machine automatically switches to fax mode.

the answering machine of my ISP phone is after 7 rings but the printer switch to fax mode after 7 rings too so i cant receive any fax.

I searched for a long time on the web to configure this option but i found nothing about that.

Is anybody here can help me ?

To change the incoming ring count:

#NCU> Scroll through menu item and select #Auto RX

-Scroll through menu item and select 007

-Set the value '007' (by default this value is set to 2)

It's a number of rings changed in a device before automatically receiving an incoming fax signal



default ring count on models are different , that may be yours

or
Enter Service Mode > NCU > Auto RX >< 006>

< 006 > will change the ( Ring Wait Time ) which is measured in Seconds. The duration between rings is about 5 seconds.

The value of < 006 > is as follows:
1000 = 10 sec. = about 2 rings
2000 = 20 sec. = about 4 rings
3000 = 30 sec. = about 6 rings

Ex. NCU > Auto RX >< 006> = 2500 / will change the incoming ring count to about 5 rings.

The iR25xx and the iR17xx also have an option to set the number of incoming rings that can be accessed by pressing the volume button on the control panel.
This is only available if you have set the machine in service mode to enable manual rx (#special-sw27-bit 8 =1)

Sorry. Correction. To enable Manual and Fax/Tel mode for an iR25xx or iR17xx:
in service mode
#special
sw
sw27
bit 8 (on the extreme left) = 1
restart the machine and you will find the mode option under communication settings; fax settings; rx settings
Number of rings and incoming ring on/off is accessed by pressing the volume button on the control panel. (on the side of the panel for the iR17xx)
