    External counter.

    Yes! I'm still me!.
    Now with a simple question.....
I have installed an external counter on a iR ADV 6255.
I have noticed that when the sheet is feed from the paper deck, the counter increments by one.
And if the paper sheet jams into the machine, the counter remains with the unit incremented,
    invalidating the correct count.

Question: Is there a way to count the paper as it exits from the machine ?
(And not from da paper deck ?).

    Best regards ! ! !

    Re: External counter.

Does the counter still increment when pulling from the paper trays and bypass tray, too?

I have a hunch that the counter is picking up pulses of the registration rollers, so it would be the same regardless of the paper source.

If this is a non-OEM counter from a third party, u need to contct them.

When I push the copy button, I listen the pick-up roller moves and the counter increments by one unit.
