    Ir-1730i boot up freeze

    Hi,
    This canon Ir-1730i when powering up there is initial rotation on motors and drives, then the loading bar on the control panel freezes in the middle and stays like that.
    Can,t see any helpful hint in the service manual.
    Any hints or ideas very much appreciated.

          I,am waiting for a colleague of mine to get me the software, if he can get it for me, only don't know how to reload, can this be done without the machine powering on?

              Iam not a newbie with canon, only new to this particular model.
              I am a certified canon and xerox technician.
              I have been loading software on many different models, canons and xerox.

                        Yes there are directions, but the machine needs to be powered on for the download, and it doesn't go past the freeze screen.

                          Give this a try,

                          If u have the G3fax installed, disconnect it's board connections inside printer> then power up printer.
