[Electrical] On. Off issue

I have got a iradvc5030 which won't shut down using the on off switch have replaced switch main controller 1 has anyone had this problem

Saw a knowledge base on canon site for this. The guy had to replace the DC controller. I guess if it was me I would try clearing it first.
