[Jamming] inner finisher e1

1400 jam codes. The finisher continually reads a jam, code 1400. The door modification is not the issue, as I've had the cover off, and activated the switch myself. The jam only clears after the output tray is lowered, the the finisher will attempt to initialize, but as the tray rises, the jam code returns. I've inspected the paper sensors, and actuators, all of the gripper, stapler, and output tray, nothing is dislodged. I've had the finisher opened up and the tray removed to inspect this. I've had door open 1400 jam codes before, they were door realted and occasional. This is constant, and I've activated the door switch myself, to no avail. Any one else had this circumstance before? Check the safety limit actuator and micro switch located on top of finisher.

I have checked and confirmed the safety switch is changing state, physically removed it from the circuit and tested. I also double checked the door switch as well, after I had the controller pcb changed, to no avail. I don't have a extra unit at this time to compare or swap parts with. I can't figure out what causes a detection of open door jam, 1400 as it boots up and the tray finisher tries to initialize. I did look through the manual for a timing chart, hoping to pin point the timing of the code, but the manual no longer has this feature. I'd appreciate any wisdom or suggestions on this, thanks in advance.

turned out the lower four fingers weren't caming ahead forward, which caused the tray to not find home position, and trip the microswitch. Would have thought an error code would result, not a jam condition. Finally had a chance to compare to a functioning one earlier.

Hi Roho,

I know it's a long time ago but do you happen to remember what you did to sort this out? I have the exact same issue with an inner finisher D1 which is essentially the same just a different board.

If anyone is interested, I managed to solve the problem above.
The issue was that the lower four fingers are connected to a shaft that had a broken actuator flag and when the tray met them it didn't know that they were in the correct position. Glues it back and it worked perfectly
