[Misc] Canon Ir C2550 Fan noise and Default Color

    Hi,

Is there a way to turn off the fans in the IR C2550 when it is in sleep mode or eliminate the noise they make entirely? The noise is actually very low [they work fine], but my client wants it totally gone.
Or are there any Canon copiers that do so?

Also, is there a way to make Black and White copies as default settings in a Mac? The default BW settings disappear when we restart the computer. We are using UFR2 drivers.
    Any input will be appreciated.

To default the imageRUNNER Advance to black and white when coping from the DADF or the glass, select black and white on the control panel of the 'Copy' screen.

Next select Settings / Registration > Function > Copy then 'Change default settings' and press 'Ok'.
Black and white will now be locked in as the default color for copies.

    Also******
Print driver needs to default to black and white printing when distributed from a print server.

**Network administrator does not want to change each new workstation driver install individually to default to black and white printing.

**Driver will be pushed down from print server.

**Setting Print Server Driver Defaults To Black And White

**Follow the directions below for PCL and UFRII Print Driver Settings:
Go to the properties of the PCL or UFRII print driver on the server.
Click the Advanced Tab and then click on the Printing Defaults... button.
Click on the Quality Tab and click on the drop down arrow in the Color Mode Field.
Choose Black and White as the Color Mode, Click Apply and click OK.
**Click OK one last time and re-install driver from share printer on the workstation.
**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**
