    Poor stacking at finisher AD-1

Anyone know how I can solve an issue where no matter what I clean, replace, or adjust the paper will not stack properly or staple properly when using a iR5055 series machine with the AD-1 finisher? Theres a tech pub on resolving the issue (rather, there are 3 pubs i could find) but none resolves the issue for more than 1000 prints. Turning the paper over has no effect. Different brands/grades of paper have little or no effect. Plus, it's a hospital that buys the cheapest stuff available. Only seems to occur on LTR. Run LTR-R, Legal, 11x17 and it does not appear to have the issue. Even on a good day when it isn't throwing paper off the trays it "micro-collates". IN other words it will collate the collated stacks so that in one set there are x number of subsets created and in the next set and so on.........At my wits end with this one, any ideas would be appreciated.

We have had some luck adjusting (bending) the home position sensor for the swing guide assy down a bit (1-2 mm)

have you tried the jogger plate adjustment
make sure the jogger plate is comming up to the edge of the stack each time

Canon just issued new sftwre version 7.01 for the finisher that allows you to exert more downward pressure on the swing assy through the use of some dip switches on the finisher controller. You need a download tool to update the finisher.

When did they distribute the new firmware? I just d/l the .iso about 2 weeks ago and the finisher version is 6.02 (or thereabouts). I'll get the new firmware and see if it helps.

            Thanks!
