    Canon IR7095 laser problem

We have a contract machine, IR7095, with a weak laser...the assembly is quite expensive to buy and I was wondering if anyone has had any success in rebuilding one.
    Thanks
You never realize how cheap a professional is until after you let an amateur do it.... and
if this was an easy thing to do then everybody would be doing it! But it isn't and they are not!!

Are you sure that laser is weak or maybe it's just dusted LSU mirrors/lenses? Or you cleaned them up already?

I think now you can order the diode as a separate spare part.

      FM2-8146

Its really clean...I forget the error it threw...the service guy working on it is on call. He said the error was a weak laser. If we could get that diode and that works ...that would be awesome!!!!
Now to see what I can find!!
        Thanks

Laser diode will fix it. Very common on 7095/7105

just a head up about laser issues on this box, there was a techincal info long time ago about sparking due to less insulation of a contact going from the sep corona hv contact to the fuser assy, if i remember correctly. The upper fuser roller of this model gets a HV support from the trans/sep corona to avoid sticking toner on it. Before going to change expensive laser parts, have a close look to the hv wiring to the fuser and check also, if the upper fuser roller is isolatet in its bearings and connected properly to the hv.

I think I am in this exact situation which Herrman explained.

I did check everything located on the frame assy (the one that slides out). Checked the fuser area and the sep corona, but I believe my fault is in the back of the machine.

Since I am a lazy person : Has anyone had this issue and has a short cut like "Look exactly here" so I don't have to remove all the back of the machine to check all the wires ???
