I am having a problem with the Canon IR 7105, it displays the Error E110 right after booting up. I want to replace the laser unit with another unit from a working copier. does anyone have a manual on how to remove it?

Re: Removing Laser Unit IR 7105
E110 - The laser scanner motor rotation has a fault.
= 0000 After the laser scanner motor has gone on, the PLL lock signal of the motor is not detected for 15 sec or more.
-Check to see if all covers have been attached to the primary charging assembly.
-Disconnect and then connect J764 of the laser scanner motor drive PCB (in the laser scanner unit).
-Disconnect and then connect J1401 of the video PCB.
-Disconnect and then connect J506 of the DC controller PCB.
-Replace the laser scanner unit.
-Replace the video PCB.
-Replace the DC controller PCB

I tried all the above! now that I replaced the laser scanner unit, I get error E102-0001... any ideas on what it could be? I swapped the laser unit with another machine and that is all I did...Comment

Re: Removing Laser Unit IR 7105
E102 = A read error has occurred in relation to the laser scanner unit EEPROM data.
0001 / The correction data cannot be read from the EEPROM of the laser scanner unit.
-Disconnect and then connect the connector of the video PCB.
-Disconnect and then connect the DC controller PCB.
-Replace the laser scanner unit.

Re: Removing Laser Unit IR 7105
Make sure that the cover for the primary corona assembly is installed properly and is actuating the linkage for the laser shutter. Access laser assembly again...its easy once you pull hopper off as you know...and see if shutter is open with cover installed. Basically check its operation...pull primary cover off and push on linkage with your finger. And 7095 is same laser as 7105Comment
