    Canon C3220 PC Connect

    Hello everybody,

I am an "old" tech, got our of this business 15 years ago and now I'm back refurbishing and reselling copiers to make an extra income!

Technology has sure changed but thanks to this forum, I hope I can get some help

    Here is the situation...

Bought a Canon IR-c3220 with a network/server option attached. The machine had some major jamming problems but now it's working fine.

The manual says that I should be able to connect to it with my laptop but I can't see how!!!

There is NO USB connection just a network connection.

Can anybody tell me how to direct connect it to my PC (NOT a network) so I can update \the software and use it as a printer (for demo purposes)?

Thank you all in advance and a happy and healthy 2015!

    Frank

    No USB on this series.
_? U said there is an external print server box attached, it's called a (imagePass C2 Fiery)_.

Is the Fiery attached with a interface cable & a Crossover Cable to 3220 printer side_? (this box also uses a reg.standard CAT 5 network cable to wall network connection if u have such a connection available.

U can print from laptop to 3220 by using a Crossover Cable connection.
This connection way is also used to update printer Firmware by use of the Canon SST PROGRAM & PRINTERS Firmware installed in it.

I think that model should be brand new to you because it should be about 15 years old lol

            Hi MFPTech

YES, it looks brand new to me!

Actually this whole thing with the networking, the IPs, subnets, print servers, etc etc etc feels overwhelming but I am educating myself on the Net and soon I should be able to catch up with you youngsters!

I do appreciate your comments and help!

            Thank you all
