    iR-ADV C5035 -- Always shows 100% toner level

    Hi-

Last year we purchased an iR-ADV C5035. It always shows 100% toner level for all four toners. It shows 100% on the machine's user interface AND through the web interface. I've been through all the menus and have tried to find a setting in the service mode, but can't.

We bought the machine used -- perhaps our dealer has a way to make them always look 100% so when the machine was delivered it appeared the consumables were full?

When the cartridges run out, we do get the appropriate message saying it is time to change them.

Many thanks in advance if you have any insight on this issue.

    Happy New Year!

When the residual toner level becomes lower than the threshold, a warning message of “Toner is low. Replacement not yet needed.” is

When the value is incremented by 1, the threshold is increased by 1%. As the smaller value is set, the message timing to be displayed
    becomes earlier.

Use case - Upon user’s request
    -
At the timing that the service engineer visits to the customer, etc.
    Adj/set/operate method
    1) Enter the setting value, and then press OK key.
    2) Turn OFF/ON the main power switch.
    Display/adj/set range 5 to 100

When “1” is set, the toner alarm is not displayed until the toner runs out.
Use case = When preferring to hide the alarm until the toner runs out
    Adj/set/operate method
    1) Enter the setting value, and then press OK key.
    2) Turn OFF/ON the main power switch.

That was helpful. Both settings (the percentage and the on/off) were set to the default for USA.

So, should I expect to see the levels on the display and web interface always be at 100%? It would be kind of nice if they worked like the paper level indicators where you can see if it is running low.

      THANKS for your help!
