Paper Not Detected

Hi all.
I have one case ( canon IR 5000 ) the paper deck / cassete 1 (A4) not detect some paper or not lift up correctly. I try to look up the wire behind paper bank rather slack. Any ideas how could i repair by myself. thanks anyone....

I run into this type of problem a lot and usually find crushed paper behind the tray.
