[Misc] Advance 5000/5200 Series Dev Units.

Hi All, has anyone experienced and/or come up with a logical explanation for E020-0XB1 in the ADV5000/5200 series copiers?
The Code relates to a depletion of Toner in a Dev Unit (X) being the number corresponding to the colour of the Unit, we have had several of these errors on several machines over the last couple of years and DC-CON & M-CON Clear does not fix - Replacement of the Dev Unit has been the only solution - none of these machines have reached their 'Developer Life of 500K' in fact some have done 50 - 150K/Unit also a couple of machines only a few months old.

All that 'them what know' can advise is to Update Firmware (always up to date), Clear Dc & MC Controllers, replace Controller 1 or 2 etc. standard procedure but still cannot say why.

I will look forward to any input from anyone who may have had similar issues.

    Thanks Cliff.

There is a black plastic X drive gear on the back of each developer that is D cut and warbles out and u get this e code. U can just replace the gear. Canon updated the part and added a dowel pin.
