[Misc] Canon IR5075 - Solid Black Line

    Dear Friends...

I have a weird problem with my 2 Machine. IR5075.

The result copy image always has a solid black line (width : approx 20mm )
at position 3 cm from the top of paper (A4 Paper).
Bellow I give the sample image taken from the machine.
    Sample Blank Image.jpg
    Sample Blank Image.jpg
Then I know the problem caused by the solid black line on the DRUM UNIT.
DRUM IR5075.jpgThis solid black line on this drum is NOT toner.
I have tried to clean it with some kinds of solvent(etc) but nothing happen. It cannot be cleaned. And also the black solid line on the drum is not a kind of damage.( I meant the surface of drum is soft and smooth)

I have also try to take Process Unit (with drum on it) from another machine and place it on this machine then after making one copy I have the same result (A4 Paper). and now I have two "damage" drum.

Moreover, I have 3 "damage" drum.

    My God what's going on?

Now I can only work with "FOLIO" paper. I cannot work with A4 paper.

Please give some advice what's wrong with this machine.
    Thank you .

Use tray 3 and 4, and turn the paper to the A4R direction..
I am not sure you have a drum problem.
Check your upper fixing roller for a matching line, or check your developer roller, curtain.
Try the drums you suspect in your other machine.
You will know for sure then

Yes, The only way I can do is using the 3 or 4 tray that is set to A4R.
I have done it for A4 purpose.
          ---
          Please look at the drum.
I have a good drum. when I put it on the machine then the drum will have the solid black line (that is not a toner).
So when I put back the drum on the original machine or put it on every machine i have it always produces the solid black line (A4 copy)
I don't know is there any way to clean this drum?
3 drum with the same solid black line on the same position

            Maybe your coronas are arcing
            maybe a laser problem
            Maybe developer
Canon has a powder to polish those drums, but I doubt it will fix your problem.

ggrrh, That's a laser problem.(and maybe the drum is also damage)
              How do I know that?
Bellow I Would give a short description from the first time I got this "Solid Black Line".
              1. I have 3 IR5075 say "A", "B", and "C"
              2. The first trouble machine is "A".
              3. While "A" machine got this trouble I am sure that "B" and "C" machine is OK.
              4. I take PROCESS UNIT (we call it B's Process Unit) from B and I tried to operate it on A and It still produces the "Solid black line"
              5. I put the B's Process Unit back to it's original position (B).
              6. I operate the B machine and the trouble comes to this machine (B) !!
After got this trouble on B I have posted the above thread.
and I got some advice here from Vigour , then I have to try the LASER.

              7. I take B laser and put it on C machine. I make A4 copy and got the same trouble (Solid Black Line) . From here I am sure that B Laser is the problem too and the A laser also.

              8. Now when I put back the C laser to it's own position (C) , I make A4 copy and I got the same trouble error solid black line!!
Sorry it become a long history

I am really frustration, panic, and confused......!
C machine produces a light and thin solid black line. and I don't want to make any copy as I suggest it will be produces more heavy and big solid line.

Please , what should I do when replacing the Laser, and what is going on?
thank you very much for advice.
