Multi PLD Kit E-1 and System Expansion Kit A (RAM and HDD) Installation

Greetings and Happy New Year Everyone,

I am looking to install the Multi PLD Kit E-1 into a newly acquired, 2nd hand iR2270 that does not have any current printing capability. I am hoping to take the necessary components from my old iR3570 that had a number of issues.

The boot rom install seems easy and clear, however I know that in order for that to work the System Expansion Kit-A needs to be installed as well.

Can I pull the RAM from my old iR3570 as well?

Do I need to install a new HDD as well? If so, can I swap out the one from the iR3570 too or will there be a software incompatability?

What else do I need to be considering here?

Again, the actual physical install appears very straight forward but I don't want to miss something.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

    Multi PDL Printer Kit-E1

    Network ScanGear (Pull Scanning):

Normally the Canon Printer Kit needs to be installed for network scanning using Network ScanGear.

    **** See the exceptions below.

    **** UPDATE - If the imageRUNNER 2270 / 2870 / 3570 / 4570 is updated to version 32.02 or higher system software.

_Then the Canon Printer Kit is not required for Network Scanning using Network ScanGear.

    Universal Send (push scanning):

No, the Canon Printer Kit is not needed for installing and using the Universal Send Kit.

***Lower Firmware than v32.02 will require the E1 kit.
in order to scan over the network using Network ScanGear. The Scan tab will not even appear on the copier LCD until the Printer Kit is installed.
