[Jamming] HELP! Repeated Paper Jams on Canon Imagerunner C1030if

We had the fixing sleeve fail so we replace the fixing unit and now a new problem appeared. No we are getting paper jams repeatedly.
The error message says "Jammed Paper inside internal cover", once the jammed paper is removed the print comes out fine. And this keeps happening repeatedly. I see no signs of paper being stuck anywhere and the tray is set to the letter size paper we are using. Any ideas? Im going crazy here trying to figure this out.

Did it ever work after you replaced the fixing unit?
Is the paper that is in the machine physically jammed vs. just stopped inside the machine (crumpled, dented or folded vs. just laying in the machine nice and pretty)?
What specific jam code are you getting?

Thanks for the reply. It did work immediately after we replaced the fixing unit but then developed the jam issue after a few prints. It had set a code for the fixing sleeve before but is not setting any codes now after we replaced the fixing unit. So no jam codes either.

I would say the jams are occurring intermittently, maybe every 2nd-3rd print job will give the jam error, and the paper isnt physically jammed but rather just stopped under the green lid. If you dont remove the paper out and you just open and close the door to reset, it will try to reprint the same job which then results in a physical paper jam with the first stopped (stuck) paper.

Any ideas?

Does this happen on all paper sizes & from all trays_?

Maybe there is a paper jam at the back door( there is no paper sensor there)........
