    IR-C3480i: Adding Postscript 3 Support

My shop recently acquired a lightly used IR-C3480i that I'd like to add postscript 3 support to for Mac printing. I'm unfamiliar with Canon color. It appears it needs the PS Printer Kit-Q3 and an imageRUNNER 512MB Expansion RAM-C1 for PS3 support.

Looks like that is just an option board and a ram module, correct?
Will the machine just recognize them or does it require additional or updated firmware to support it?

    Many thanks!

    imageRUNNER C3380i / C2880i
    - PCL Printer Kit -Q1 (standard)
    - PS Printer Kit -Q1 * (optional)
    - imagePASS J1 ** (optional)

    * PS Printer Kit-Q1 requires that PCL Printer Kit-Q1 and iR 512MB Expansion RAM-C1 be previously installed.

    Canon iR 512MB Ram -C1
    Part # 0529B002AA

Kit has a license, no board, board is inside printer, needs actavation.

Registering a LAN (License Access Number) on LMS (License Management System)

    Question :
How do you register a LAN (License Access Number) on LMS (License Management System)? What is the URL of the LMS website?

    Answer :
The License Management System is a website used to register LANs (License Access Numbers) for Universal Send Kits and other optional kits for the Canon imageRUNNER devices.

    To Register a LAN:

    1. Using a Web Browser (ex. Internet Explorer) on your PC, go to the LMS website at 301 Moved Permanently.

    2. Enter in the LAN provided in the optional kit .

๏ฟผ3. Enter the serial number for the imageRUNNER device (the machine that the optional kit will be installed on). BE SURE TO ENTER THE CORRECT SERIAL NUMBER.

    4. Copy down the License Key number for the installation.

    :-D
To install the Optional Kit on the imageRUNNER Device:

    1. On the copier, hit Additional Functions > System Settings > scroll down > License Registration.

    2. Enter the License Key number you copied down when registering the LAN on the LMS website.

    3. Hit the Start button on the License Registration screen.

    4. Reboot the copier.

    * Note that some optional kits may require certain prerequisite items to be installed before performing the above steps.

The UFR driver works fine. Didn't notice it was an option. We typically set up PS3 and PCL. Thanks all!
